How to Add Pictures to Your Blog Posts Using WordPress

One of the things I struggled with when I started making websites over 10 years ago, was adding pictures. In fact, it was the one thing that kept me from launching my website! Until a friend of mine helped the desperate little me out. Thankfully, WordPress has made adding pictures to your website, easy!

Here’s how!

  1. In your post, click on “Add Media”

If your picture is NOT in your library, but on your computer, click “Upload Files” then “Select Files.” Find your file and click “Upload Image.”

If your image is on your phone, download the WordPress app and add the picture to your Library via your phone. more on this here

  1. You can align it left of text, center or right on the menu OR by clicking the little pencil icon on the left of the picture (hint: you have to click the picture first to get the pencil icon to show up!)
